Here we have a 1978 Gibson J40. The guitar has a beautiful tone that only comes with aged wood and lots of play time.
We are offering this guitar at a great price as a handyman special for someone who wants to take on restoring it. It could use a fret leveling (some frets on the upper register fret out) as well as some crack repairs.
That said, it would also make a fun campfire guitar, as is. White you may not have full access to all the frets on the upper register (up past the 12th fret), the guitar is very fun to play and has a great open sound. The cracks do not cause any buzzing or rattling in the guitar. The bridge has been re-glued in the past and is stable.
