Description
We recently restored this incredible old Pre-Gibson Epiphone archtop. It is a great playing and sounding guitar with low action and and a fast neck. Two cracks on the front and one on the back have been repaired and are stable. Almost everything is original – original tuning machines, Frequensator tailpiece, pick guard. We even have the original hard shell case. We did replace the nut and the fretboard binding, but made it look old.
You’ll notice that the pick guard has three holes in it. That’s because the original owner put a pickup in the guitar and had the controls inserted into the pick guard. We have several photos of the original owner with this guitar and will provide them with the sale of this fantastic player’s vintage 1948 Epiphone Triumph.
